Upgrading the Sandy Lake Water Treatment Plant required a full scope of work, from construction to demolition. To upgrade the plant, Clark Builders constructed a new 3,658 square foot building addition over a new concrete water storage reservoir and a 484 square foot generator building.
Within the new buildings, the Clark Builders team tied into two ground water supply wells and supplied and installed treatment, pumping, mechanical, and electrical equipment — including a diesel fuel standby generator. Installing this equipment also required the addition of many new water and sewer connections.
Once the upgraded facility was operational, the team decommissioned existing raw water and sewer connections before demolishing the existing water treatment building.
