Clark Builders successfully executed two significant projects for the Water Treatment Plant, showcasing our expertise and ability to deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges. The initial project involved the construction of a cutting-edge UV facility, an addition to the existing water treatment plant in Alberta. The facility accommodates five UV reactors, a first of its kind in the region, designed to handle future water purification demands of approximately 240 ml per day.
After the completion of the UV facility, Clark Builders was re-engaged five years later to undertake another project: the construction of a sodium hypochlorite building. This task required coordination in all phases, which included building a 160 meter work bridge to enable access for the construction of a 660 pipe cofferdam.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of these projects was the seamless operation of the water treatment facility throughout construction. Despite the complexities involved, the Clark Builders team demonstrated exceptional efficiency and precision in meeting strict timelines. For instance, the team accomplished the placement of three concrete pumps, involving over 1,000 cubic meters of concrete, within a short 13-hour period.
Additionally, the team succeeded in replacing the only existing raw water pipe in the original pumphouse during a 48-hour shutdown, swiftly installing all new piping and valves.
Our team’s performance on these projects solidified Clark Builders’ reputation as a reliable and innovative construction partner, capable of delivering outstanding results while overcoming challenging operational constraints.
