The Andrew Davison Modernization transformed a 13-storey commercial office tower into a modern, LEED Gold Certified administrative workspace for the City of Calgary employees. This 148,838 square foot renovation was completed on a rolling-turnover basis, allowing the City of Calgary to begin occupying the space before the full project was completed.
After demolition, Clark Builders did a full upgrade to all existing mechanical and electrical services and installed new power and data distribution systems as well as a card-access, remote-monitored security, and surveillance system. To improve the efficiency of the building, all North and South windows were replaced, including new framing, vapour barrier, and surrounding drywall. Finally, each floor received an updated layout with a mix of traditional and open-concept office space, closed conference rooms, and flex space for employees to gather and collaborate.
